ErgoSanté tackles office chair recycling with the launch of ECOSIEGE

Anduze, 20 September 2021: ErgoSanté, a technological player in the social economy dedicated to health and well-being at work, is pursuing its eco-responsible approach with the implementation of an innovative solution for recycling and reselling office chairs.

Waste from office furniture represents a volume of 250,000 tonnes1 per year. A large part of this waste, and in particular chairs, has a significant recycling potential. Present throughout mainland France, ECOSIEGE collects, renovates, repairs and gives a second life to all types of office chairs from large companies, smes, associations, administrations and individuals. Among them, Valdelia, an eco-organisation dedicated to the second life of professional furniture, is the leading contributor to the collection ofECOSIEGE.

The new brand of the ErgoSanté Group is committed to limiting the waste associated with the acquisition or replacement of office chairs: each chair, 98% recyclable, which is collected by ECOSIEGE, is recycled, thus avoiding up to 40kg of unnecessary waste. Depending on the state of the chair, it is recycled or "upcycled" in the Ergosanté manufacturing workshop in Anduze (Gard), an adapted company that employs more than 80% of disabled people.

ECOSIEGE then offers the consumer the possibility of buying back his or her renovated seat or a new second-hand seat from its recycling network. Already invested in the quality of life at work, in maintaining the employment of disabled employees and in promoting "made-in France" knowledge, ErgoSanté is committed to limiting the carbon footprint of its activities and those of its customers.
The request for collection of used seats and the purchase of "upcycled" seats is made directly on the website ofECOSIEGE : www.ecosiege.fr

ErgoSanté will present its new products, including the HAPO MS and all of its ergonomic solutions at the following trade fairs:
- PREVENTICA trade fair in Lille: from 26 to 29 September 2021
- A+A trade fair in Dusseldorf: from 26 to 29 October 2021
