France's leading manufacturer of passive exoskeletons sets up a new factory in the United States

On the occasion of the launch of the WearRAcon 23 in the United States, the French company ErgoSanté announces the creation of a new production plant in Wilmington, North Carolina, in June 2023. This strategic investment demonstrates the company's commitment to the U.S. market, which is expected to account for 50% of its sales by 2028. It was also an opportunity for ErgoSanté to present its two latest innovations: the HAPO UP-FRONT, the first 2-in-1 passive exoskeleton dedicated to the upper limbs, and the HAPO SENSOR, the first passive exoskeleton data sensor created to provide real-time effort analysis.

 

New Plant in North Carolina

In June 2023, ErgoSanté plans to open a new production facility assembling its first "Made in US" passive exoskeletons in Wilmington, North Carolina. At WearRAcon 23 in New Orleans, the largest North American conference dedicated to technology and exoskeletons, ErgoSanté will symbolically begin production of its first parts using 3D printing technology. The ErgoSanté Group continues its international presence through its 19 local partners, including NUVO, ErgoSanté's exclusive distributor dedicated to the U.S. market.

For more than 10 years, the ErgoSanté Group has been designing, manufacturing and distributing in France innovative and customized ergonomic solutions for health and well-being at work. Its physical assistance devices, leaders in the French passive exoskeleton market, are recognized worldwide. They equip companies such as Louis Vuitton, Sanofi, Airbus, Mars incorporated and Ford with exoskeletons, and orders continue to flow in, enjoying a growth of over 200%. The Group has a turnover of 22.7 million euros (2022), a growth of 57% (2022) and plans to raise several million euros in 2023. Its postural analysis tool "LEA", based on artificial intelligence, is available to the public for free on Google Play and the Apple Store.

The total direct cost of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) is estimated at $50 billion annually in the United States. Indirect costs related to lost productivity due to injury total more than $225 billion annually. The passive exoskeleton market in the U.S. is expected to reach $745.6 million in the next 10 years, with global demand expected to grow more than 20% by 2032, according to Transparency Market Research. Figures in France are equally eloquent.

Hapo Sensor the1st passive exoskeleton sensor in the world

This tool, which can be used from your smartphone, assesses the intensity and frequency of the user's flexion movements. These measurements provide objective feedback with scientific evidence. They help users understand the benefits provided by the exoskeleton by measuring the weight relieved during an activity, in terms of weight and percentage.
