It will allow you to play in the best possible conditions while being comfortable. Here are a few tips to easily create an inspiring environment and dive into the heart of your favorite games' universe!

Focus on comfort with ergonomic office furniture

Sitting comfortably in front of your PC is essential to protect your health and boost your performance. Sitting for several hours in a row can have serious consequences on the body. In order to prevent pain and tension, it is essential to equip yourself with ergonomic furniture or adapted gaming furniture.

A gamer desk to optimize space

To start your installation, you first need a place to put your new PC, your screens and all your accessories. A simple little table won't do. You need to choose a work surface specially designed to improve the gaming conditions for gamers. A gaming desk will be ideal to optimize space and ensure comfort and organization.

Choose a model that is large and sturdy enough to accommodate all of your gaming equipment. If you have multiple gaming screens, look for a corner gamer desk that offers more storage space. You can also opt for a standing desk for optimal ergonomics. Adjustable in height, it will adapt to all morphologies and will allow a frequent variation of positioning. These models preserve the health of the players by encouraging movement and stimulating the muscles.

Some workstations specifically designed for thegamer world can offer you particularly ingenious options. For example, these desks include cup holders, mouse pads, headset rests and cable management systems. They will offer you the necessary comfort to play serenely for several hours in a row. Their modern design will easily fit into any gaming setup.

An ergonomic gaming chair for a comfortable installation

Once you have purchased your desk, you must now choose your seat. To ensure well-being and performance during your sessions, invest in an gaming chair adapted. It will ensure you an optimal comfort during all your games. It will effectively relieve back problems that can sometimes become real handicaps for your performance. So, quickly adopt a healthy and stimulating installation to be always at the top of your capacities!

Choose an ergonomic chair or a gamer chair specially designed for intensive use. Functional seats, they both offer the features necessary for your well-being. These chairs benefit from adjustment options that adapt perfectly to all morphologies and to the specific needs of each gamer. They will guarantee you a healthy posture, fighting against the appearance of pain and muscle fatigue. Active seats, they will promote movement to keep you in shape all day long. Choose chairs with a pair of armrests, ultra-soft foam seats and even a 180° horizontal station for your little moments of relaxation.

These gaming chairs are available in a variety of design models that will easily fit into your custom setup.

Choosing the right gamer accessories for a high-performance setup

Now that you are properly set up in front of your PC, complete your setup with various gaming accessories that will improve your performance.

A gaming keyboard, design and powerful

For an optimal gaming experience, don't neglect your keyboard! Choose a gamer model that combines responsiveness, power and design.

Our little advice, prefer the mechanical gaming keyboards that will guarantee you a great ease of use. Very resistant, they will support an intensive use while offering you an unequalled quality of typing. Increase your performance easily with them! For a more aesthetic purpose, you can also turn to backlit keyboards. Modern and stylish, they increase the visual comfort of players and create a dynamic atmosphere in the setup.

An efficient and responsive mouse

As with the keyboard, a good PC mouse is essential to your gaming setup. Choose a model that combines ergonomics and responsiveness to put you ahead of all your games. Top 1 guaranteed!

An ideal gamer mouse is one with high sensitivity. So choose models with a minimum of 2400/3000 dpi, light, fast and accurate. Design-wise, it depends on your preferences. Backlit, vertical or even joystick, coordinate your mouse with your keyboard to finalize the look of your gaming setup

A gamer headset for total immersion

Having a good headset is essential to immerse yourself fully in your game. It will isolate you from the outside world by offering a sound universe essential to a complete immersion.

You will probably keep your headphones on for several hours at a time. It must therefore be comfortable and offer a very good listening quality. To get right into the heart of your games, turn to specialized gamer headsets. They are ingenious and offer excellent hearing comfort combined with a reduction in ambient noise. Most models also include a microphone so you can easily talk to other gamers online. Let your personality shine through by choosing a headset that matches your taste. Classic and sleek or fancy and colorful, it's up to you!

Ergonomic accessories to complete the comfort of the setup

To perfectly finalize the ergonomics of your gamer setup, other accessories can be added. For example, PC arms can be installed to accommodate your various screens. Functional, they position your screens at a recommended distance to guarantee your visual comfort. Very practical when you play with several monitors, they allow a complete customization of your gaming environment.

You can also equip yourself with anti blue light filter glasses. As a preventive accessory, they protect your eyes from the harmful effects of intensive screen use. These gaming glasses will effectively prevent migraines, eye fatigue and sleep disorders. They will allow you to keep your full performance throughout the day!

Get the right equipment to stream in better quality

If you're starting out as a creator on Twitch or YouTube, you'll need to invest in some good equipment. streamer equipment. In order to offer attractive content to viewers, first think about audiovisual quality.

To do this, you need to get camera stands or tripods to stabilize the framing of your videos. Also install ambient lighting that will connect your entire setup with coherence. You will invite your audience to dive fully into your personal universe. Complete your lighting with a large ringlight if you are filming in portrait mode. Finally, a good gaming microphone will be essential to captivate and retain your viewers. It will facilitate communication with your gaming partners and your community.

You have invested in a chair or a ergonomic chair in order to improve the comfort of your workstation? In order to maximize its effects on your health and well-being, you must now take the time to adjust and adapt it to your use and your morphology. Indeed, even the best equipment, badly used, can generate the installation and the reproduction of bad postures.

Remember to sit upright in your seat with your feet on the floor before adjusting. This will help you perfect your working position for maximum support, ease and efficiency.

Start by adjusting the height of your ergonomic seat

The first step is to adjust the height of your office chair. Adapt it to your work surface, trying to form a sort of right angle between your arms and your desk. This will relax your shoulders and avoid over-mobilization which could lead to upper limb pain.

If your feet no longer touch the ground, you can turn to footrest which will ensure an optimal installation. These will help you achieve a comfortable posture, with benefits for your entire body.

Then adapt the backrest and seat to your morphology and your needs

The adjustment of the backrest and seat will be the key to a good posture. They are the ones that will give you support, mobility and comfort and should not be neglected. Take advantage of the different adjustments offered by ergonomic chairs for a total adaptation to your shape, your feelings and your expectations.

Adjust the file

The first step is to adjust the height of the backrest so that it fits your height and respects the curvature of your back. If the seat is equipped with lumbar supports, they must be on the right contact points for immediate relief.

You will also need to adjust the tension and inclination of your backrest. This means adjusting the resistance of the backrest according to the user's weight. The goal is not to find yourself slumped in your seat or pushed forward. The optimal opening angle of your seat should be between 100 and 110°. According to your feelings and your use, prefer a model allowing you to "block" the backrest. A chair with a tilting mechanism will allow a dynamic and adapted support of your silhouette.

Adjusting the seat

The seat must adapt to the body in height and depth in order to provide sufficient support for the thighs and pelvis. In order to avoid having your calves on the seat or your thighs protruding from the seat, you must adapt it to your morphology. A seat equipped with a seat translation will allow you to adjust the depth for an optimal installation. Modulate it so that you can slide a width of 3 fingers between the front of the seat and the hollow of your knees.

Generally speaking, it is preferable from an ergonomic point of view to use as much of the seat surface as possible. This ensures that your posture and comfort are improved.

Choose between Synchronous and Asynchronous Mechanism

The adjustment of your seat will be different depending on the mechanism you choose. An asynchronous mechanism allows an independent adjustment of the seat and backrest while a synchronous mechanism allows a synchronized movement between the two. The latter is designed to avoid a too static position that could lead to a compression of the spine. It is particularly suitable for prolonged sitting work, as the seat and backrest tilt together in a coordinated manner. It allows the body to remain in total support against the seat and to maintain a straight posture.

Take advantage of your ergonomic seat's options

The armrests

You must imagine your armrests as an extension of your workstation so that your arms are in an optimal position. Thanks to 3D or 4D armrests, you will be able to modulate them in height, width and depth for an immediate feeling of relaxation. Well adjusted, they will be a good support for your forearms which will limit the pain in the upper limbs.

The headrest

If your ergonomic chair has a headrest, you will also need to adjust its height and angle. It should be at the height of your neck, in the cervical cavity, without exerting pressure. It will bring you more comfort and will relieve your cervical muscles.

Ergonomic accessories

To perfect your well-being, you can also complete your ergonomic seat with additional accessories. Flexible, they will bring you comfort and correction. For example, adaptable cushions and lumbar supports will compensate for the hollows in your back. They will be perfect as a complement of seat to limit the pains and to increase your ease.

The growth of teleworking in the wake of the global pandemic has raised several issues related to workspace design. Due to a lack of adequate equipment and the irresistible call of the couch, many teleworkers adopt postures that can be detrimental to their health. Bending over the computer or sitting on the bed, many report a gradual onset of muscle pain. In addition, mental illnesses such as chronic stress and insomnia can have a negative impact on the well-being of employees.

Setting up a real ergonomic home office is essential if you are to enjoy the benefits of telecommuting without leaving yourself vulnerable to musculoskeletal disorders. Here are a few tips for setting up a functional ergonomic workstation in the comfort of your own home. This will guarantee concentration and productivity for all your home-based activities.

Invest in ergonomic furniture to improve your posture when teleworking

Although they may seem idyllic, it is important to avoid improvised installations such as a corner table, a sofa or a bed to work. For your comfort, it is necessary to equip yourself with quality office furniture. These tools will be the key to a good working posture at home. Essential, they bring together all the functionalities necessary for the health and efficiency of teleworkers.

In order to adopt a healthy and pleasant work posture, you can invest in a work desk as well as in a good ergonomic chair. These will optimize the comfort of the sitting position according to the requirements and needs of each person. Well installed in this adapted equipment, you will effectively prevent the appearance of tensions and muscular pains. These adjustable chairs will adapt to your morphology by adjusting quickly in height, width and depth. They perfectly fit the contours of your body, allowing you to keep your back straight and to relieve the lumbar area.

Several options can be added to these work chairs to enhance your comfort. Choose chairs with headrests, movable armrests or footrests for optimum comfort. A chair with integrated lumbar support, for example, is ideal for reducing back pain. These ergonomic accessories will help your body to adopt healthier, more relaxed postures. Positioning your computer screen correctly

The computer is the central tool of the home worker. It is therefore necessary to find solutions in order to limit as much as possible the inconveniences linked to its use.

First of all, the screen must be positioned at eye level, well in front of you in order to avoid any twisting of the neck or back. To avoid visual fatigue, it should be placed at a distance equivalent to the length of the arm (50-70cm). With a laptop, these tips can be difficult to implement. Fortunately, ergonomic solutions have been developed to overcome this difficulty. Articulated laptop stands and arms are designed to facilitate the installation and thus naturally correct the user's position. No need to tilt the head, look down, stretch the neck or over-engage. Effortlessly adjustable, these accessories allow you to quickly adapt your workstation to your needs. They are lightweight and easily stored in your computer bag to take you anywhere you want to go. To allow you to work comfortably in line with the keyboard and the screen, document holders can be integrated in addition.

Equip yourself with accessories that will increase your comfort while telecommuting

A multitude of other smart accessories are available to optimize the comfort of your workstation at home.

For example, using a computer stand means using a separate keyboard and mouse. Good news, because these accessories are essential for comfort! By opting for ergonomic keyboards and mice, you can prevent muscoskeletal disorders in the arm, wrist and shoulder areas. Some mice, such as vertical mice, will allow you to find the most comfortable position while avoiding carpal tunnel syndrome. Combined with a non-slip pad, the wrist will remain in line with the arm, which will effectively prevent strain and twisting.

To complete your home installation, you can equip your laptop withmultimedia accessories. Depending on your needs, a wireless headset can facilitate your activities and exchanges.

The Gard-based group, which specializes in innovative and custom-made ergonomic solutions, reuses waste from professional furniture.

The project had been maturing for a few years in the mind of Samuel Corgne, the CEO and founder of the ErgoSanté group, based in Anduze, in the Gard region.

For this specialist in innovative and customized ergonomic solutions, which began ten years ago by designing work spaces for employees with disabilities, this is the latest idea to enrich a portfolio that is growing every year.

"We revived this idea a year ago," he explains. We're now committed to recycling the chairs we design. The goal is to give them a second life, so they don't end up as office furniture waste."

"Two million tons of waste per year"

It recalls that "more than two million tons of furniture waste are produced each year in France, including 250,000 from companies. An anti-waste approach that also relies on the need for public administrations to buy 20% of seats from the reconditioning.

Launched in September 2021, this activity will be based on a fully integrated organization, similar to what is done for all the Group's other activities (workstation design, adapted seats, exoskeletons, etc.).

The reconditioned seats, which bear the EcoSiège brand, are sold exclusively on the dedicated website created for the occasion: www.écosiège.fr.

"All the parts of the old seats are recovered thanks to our own logistics", insists Samuel Corgne. The price of the reconditioned seat represents "30% of the price of the new seat". A price that the CEO considers "fair".

As a result, since September 1, 2021, nearly 4,000 used seats have been recovered. A thousand have also been sold. To achieve this, the group relies on a strong R&D team, which imagines everything, down to the smallest part.

A group in constant growth

Founded in 2013, the ErgoSanté group has very quickly experienced dynamic growth in its activities. Employing more than 200 people and present through some 30 local offices in France, it is expected to record a turnover of just over €20 million in 2022, growing by 60%.

It also has an international presence, notably in Europe, Brazil, New Zealand and the United States.

In 2023, it is expected to open an exoskeleton manufacturing facility in North Carolina. This activity will be rolled out to all units based abroad.

ErgoSanté received a visit from a delegation of La Fabrique de l'industrie, a platform for reflection on industry in France and internationally. The delegation was in Alès for a seminar with Louis Gallois, former CEO of Airbus, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PSA, former director of the SNCF, and co-President of the Fabrique de l'Industrie. During the visit, the members of the delegation were able to discover ErgoSanté's facilities, our business model based on technology, innovation, profitability and social responsibility, as well as our businesses and associated know-how. We thank each of them for their enthusiasm and interest.

ErgoSanté was present at the Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales in Paris, Porte de Versailles from November 22 to 24, 2022. The opportunity to exchange with public actors of the circular economy and its EcoSiège reconditioning chain. An activity that is fully in line with the law "anti-waste for a circular economy" (AGEC).

Concerned about achieving carbon neutrality by integrating the entire life cycle of its products, ErgoSanté created in 2021 a channel for the reuse of used seats. The EcoSiège brand reconditions, upcycles or recycles the seats entrusted to it for reuse. The crushed, extruded and remolded elements reintegrate the range of its new ergonomic products via its Gard manufacturing workshop. The reconditioned seats are sold at 30% of the new price(online catalog).

AGEC law: since 2021, public purchasers must acquire a minimum of 20% of furniture from reuse or recycled materials.

A new practice for buyers and suppliers of new furniture, the new legislative provisions -encouraged by a growing concern for the preservation of the environment coupled with soaring costs of raw materials and manufactured products-, now require public actors to turn to specialized companies like EcoSiège.

Article 58 of the AGEC law introduces a new obligation in the conclusion of contracts by local authorities. Since March 2021, public purchasers must acquire a minimum of 20% of seats from reuse or recycled materials (decree n°2021 124 of March 9, 2021). CPAM, hospitals, courts, gendarmeries, prefectures, communities, DGFiP, ARS already trust us.

Anduze, November 17, 2022 - Initially developed for the company's internal R&D needs, the LEA postural analysis tool, created using artificial intelligence, is now available to the general public on Apple Store and Google Play.

Used to anticipate the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSD), the LEA application is fast, intuitive and free. An application for the benefit of the greatest number After a first web version released in June 2021 dedicated to health professionals, ergonomists and preventionists, the release of the LEA application on Android & iOS opens new perspectives.

Particularly appreciated by specialists, the app allows to identify in one click the repetitive postural or articular constraints of a person that can lead to MSDs in the long run, and without specific support. This easy-to-use tool is now available to the general public.

Samuel Corgne, CEO of ErgoSanté, explains: " I am only interested in technological progress if it can serve our objective, which is to preserve the health of the greatest number of workers. Musculoskeletal disorders are the leading cause of compensated occupational disease. They are a public health issue. LEA allows the free and rapid generation of scientific data on the physical stress of workers during their activity. Its objective is to evaluate the needs or the effectiveness of the ergonomic solutions implemented.

Fast, intuitive and free to use

Non-intrusive for the user whose task is being evaluated, LEA transmits personalized scientific data almost instantaneously. Simply download the application and then film the task with your smartphone or tablet, or import a video. This software solution based on an Artificial Intelligence algorithm developed by ErgoSanté calculates the angle of the joints in relation to their ergonomic reference position. As new analyses are performed, the algorithm improves by self-learning. Everyone can then consult the angulations and the RULA scores, a reference analysis method used in ergonomics to evaluate the risk of exposure to MSDs. The analysis report generated at the end can be sent by email. The video can be downloaded or shared. 30 videos per account can be analyzed monthly. In compliance with the Data Protection Act (RGPD), the analyses are anonymized. Users of the previous web version have the option to download their old data until December 31, 2022 at old.lea.ergosante.com.

More than 80% of the Group's 200 employees in our manufacturing units are people with disabilities. Tech, inclusion and profitability: three notions that seem incompatible and yet blend together beautifully.

For all these reasons, ErgoSanté took part in DuoDay in order to bring even more diversity to a company where the employment of people with disabilities and job retention are a daily concern! Our head office in the Gard region welcomed pairs in the production department, the accounting department, the sales department and the design department. The ErgoSanté West and South agencies also welcomed candidates to discover our business.

Thinking of a company's business model from the point of view of altruism means considering it as a precious tool with a positive impact on people's lives. This is our daily commitment.

Interview with Samuel Corgne, President and CEO of ErgoSanté, Pic Magazine, November / December 2022

How was ErgoSanté born?

During the creation of my first company, I had the opportunity to meet disabled people, most of whom had difficulty finding a job. This observation led me to think about the "technical" means that would allow these people to find a job or to be maintained in employment. It was in 2016 that the project concerning ErgoSanté was born. Since then, the company has developed well - proof of the relevance of our vision of exoskeletons - and now has its own distribution network via its eight regional offices and thirty points of availability in France. We are also present in 18 countries. We have our own factory, adapted to allow disabled people to work there. In our production workshop, 80% of our employees are disabled.

When did you launch your first exoskeleton?

ErgoSanté first produced ergonomic chairs. In 2015, we started working on exoskeletons with the idea of offering a really usable one, at a reasonable cost. Because too often on this market, the proposed solutions are either overpriced or too complex, therefore almost unusable or not adapted to their user. They are "technological showcases" that do not correspond, in my opinion, to what an exoskeleton should be: a postural assistance tool that is simple to use, that does not provoke rejection and that must therefore be accepted. All this at a reasonable price: about 1,000 euros. The first version of our consumer exo Hapo came out in 2019 and was a real success because it really brings something to the person who uses it. Studies prove it.

For example, Ford, which uses our exoskeletons, conducted a study that shows that several months after their deployment, our solutions are still used in 86% of cases. The United States is an important market for ErgoSanté. Our exoskeletons are a real success there. We will have our own manufacturing unit there starting next year.

You have just launched the second version of Hapo. How is it different from the previous one?

Hapo 2 is more discreet, lighter and easier to handle than the previous one. It is also easy to use (40 seconds to put on, 15 seconds to take off), available in three or four sizes and fits 98% of body shapes. Like the previous version, the new Hapo is dedicated to assisting workers in a standing position whose postural or articular constraints contribute to work fatigue. It relieves the back and helps maintain a good posture, whether in full flexion or standing. By partially redirecting the efforts of the upper trunk - pectoral support - towards the thighs with the help of the springs and by maintaining - without restraint - the lumbar vertebrae with the help of its belt, the Hapo participates significantly in the reduction of musculoskeletal disorders (MSD). This new product completes our range of Hapo products, enriched by the Hapo MS (dedicated to the upper limbs) and the Hapo SD (without unlocking) released in 2021.

L'Usine Nouvelle looks back at the launch of the new HAPO in the fall of 2022, which surpasses the first posture harness due to its optimized comfort and user experience. The exoskeleton is more discreet, lighter and easier to use. It adapts to almost all morphologies and partially redirects the efforts of the upper trunk to the lower limbs thanks to the springs, and by maintaining the pelvis by a belt. To be found in the Usine Nouvelle buying guide of November.

We had the pleasure to receive in our Cévennes factory Sophie SCANTAMBURLO-CONTRERAS and Fréderic SALLES, co-founders of the young and promising company from Montpellier specialized in the re-use of professional equipment.

On the agenda for this visit was the finalization of a partnership that consists of bringing our complementarities into play: EcoSiège collects and refurbishes batches of chairs to near-new condition, and SCOP3 resells them as part of office layouts with second-hand equipment. Our two structures thus carry further their common objective: to reduce the carbon impact of office fittings while promoting reuse.

This activity is growing rapidly, since the law against waste for a circular economy now requires local authorities and administrations to use 20% of reconditioned furniture in their public orders.
